Twitter doğrulama, bir Twitter hesabının gerçekliğini iletmek için kullanılan bir sistemdir. Haziran 2009'da tanıtılan sistem, sitenin okuyucularına ünlüler ve kuruluşlar gibi gerçek kayda değer hesap sahiplerini sahtekarlardan veya taklitçilerden ayırt etme olanağı sağlar. Kasım 2022 itibarıyla Twitter doğrulaması, ücretli Twitter Blue aboneliğine sahip kullanıcıları da tanımlar. Bir hesap adının yanında görüntülenen mavi bir onay işareti (Birleşik Krallık: mavi tik), Twitter'ın hesabın gerçekten temsil ettiği iddia edilen kişi veya kuruluşa ait olduğundan emin olmak için adımlar attığını gösterir. Onay işareti, Twitter'ın onayladığı anlamına gelmez. ve doğrulanmış bir hesaptan gelen tweetlerin herhangi bir şekilde mutlaka doğru veya gerçeğe uygun olduğu anlamına gelmez. Twitter verification is a system used to communicate the authenticity of a Twitter account. Introduced in June 2009, the system provides the site's readers with a means to distinguish genuine notable account holders, such as celebrities and organizations, from impostors or parodies. As of November 2022, Twitter verification also identifies users with the paid Twitter Blue subscription. A blue checkmark(UK: blue tick) displayed against an account name indicates that Twitter has taken steps to ensure that the account is actually owned by the person or organization whom it is claimed to represent.The check mark does not imply endorsement from Twitter, and does not mean that tweets from a verified account are necessarily accurate or truthful in any way. People with verified accounts on Twitter are often colloquially referred to as "blue checks" on social media and by reporters.
